Russell Taylor has two fantastic fire safety opportunities for our Science & Engineering global client. These roles are part of a wider group and have come about due to the business winning new contracts, so the roles are brand new!

You will collaborate with major clients on complex and bespoke fire strategies for a range of high-profile and high-hazard projects.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Oversee the design and development of fire strategies for high-hazard buildings.
• Conduct detailed fire risk assessments, safety strategies, and scenario analyses.
• Evaluate fire prevention and protection measures to minimise risk and impact.
• Provide technical guidance on fire detection, suppression, and control systems.
• Perform and interpret fire modelling and simulation results.
• Prepare proposals, reports, and cost estimates for new and existing clients.
• Liaise with stakeholders, design teams, regulators, and approving authorities.
• Travel occasionally to client sites across the UK
The Person
• Previous fire engineering/fire safety/fire safety science experience.
• Need to be eligible for SC - need to have lived in the UK for 5 years straight.
• Proven experience leading and delivering medium to large-scale fire engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and standards (e.g. Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, PD 7974, etc.).
• Skilled in managing and mentoring fire engineers within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
• Strong analytical, report writing, and time management skills.
