Medical Science Liaison

Job Type: Temporary
Duration: 12 months (initial)
Territory: London and surrounding area (some travel across UK & Ireland also anticipated)
Rate: circa £(Apply online only) per day

SRG are working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry to find a MSL for a 12 month contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates currently working within a field-facing Medical Affairs role to shift into a great team and work with a strong pipeline.

Main Responsibilities include:

Interact on behalf of the Medical Affairs team with KOLs/thought leaders across the UK concerning their needs for scientific knowledge in chosen therapeutic area
Provide quality scientific exchange or education programmes on scientific matters to physicians and other relevant HCPs.
Assisting the Med Managers, Medical Advisors with business/clinical strategy and tactical plan development
Maintaining business & medical knowledge of chosen therapeutic area, including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, plus new therapeutic developments
Skills/experience required:

Doctor's Degree in Medicine or Pharmacy or PhD ideally (Advanced degree strongly preferred or equivalent by experience)
Needs prior experience in the following areas: pharmaceutical field-based experience (ideally MSL) and/or pharmaceutical industry related experience
Ability to build strong relationships with peers and operate well cross-functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance
Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing Medical Affairs incl. ABPI and other related Codes of Practice
Possess a keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned Disease area/product(s) and in medical research in general
