Early Years Teacher - Primary School in Sefton (ASAP Start)

A welcoming and well-supported primary school in Sefton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to giving young children the strongest possible start in their learning journey.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging EYFS lessons aligned with the Early Years Framework.
• Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports children's emotional, social and academic development.
• Use play-based learning approaches to build early literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and parents to support the needs of all pupils.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, classroom management and record-keeping.

Qualifications Needed

• Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) is required to teach in nursery or early years settings.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required if teaching within a school's Reception class.
• GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade 4/C or above) are required for early years teacher training routes.

Experience Needed

• Experience working with Early Years children in a school, nursery or early childhood setting.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs/SEN is desirable.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff and families.
