Director of Faculty – Science & Maths Location: Hayes Start date: Dependant on the availability of the successful candidate We are delighted to be working with an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” school based in West London who are seeking to appoint a Director of Faculty, leading Science & Maths across the school. This role involves strategic leadership for a the departments, encompassing curriculum development, staff management, and operational oversight. Key responsibilities include setting strategic vision, leading staff, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring high-quality teaching and student outcomes. The specific duties vary between academic and administrative roles, but all require leadership in implementing institutional goals and policies. Key responsibilities Strategic leadership: Develop and implement the faculty's strategic vision and objectives. Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and strategic plans. Staff management: Lead, develop, and support faculty staff. Play an important part in staff recruitment, induction, and performance management. Determine roles and responsibilities within the faculty. Curriculum and quality assurance: Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement within the faculty. Lead the development of curriculum and teaching strategies. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the faculty. Operational and financial management: Oversee the day-to-day operations and resources of the faculty. Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure value for money. Compliance and safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures. Manage health and safety responsibilities, including risk assessments. Collaboration and communication: Build internal and external networks to support the faculty and the institution. Promote effective communication both within the faculty and with other departments.
